1998 marked the start of a feud between 2 behemoths of the ring, Kane & Vader. After interfering in a Goldust v Vader match, Kane then defeated Vader in their first in ring match, delivering the Tomstone piledriver .Not content with the win, Kane then attacked Vader with a wrench ! Vader gained some revenge at Unforgiven by contibuting to Kanes defeat to the Undertaker in the Inferno match.
However, the feud culminated in the Mask v Mask match at Over The Edge, where Vader was unable to unmask Kane and in the process lost his mask & the match !
